My font is still number 1 in the Script category at DaFont.com. Head over to my website or dafont.com/deadbitch.font to download it. Make sure you watch my video on using the font to get the most out of it, it’s a powerful font if used correctly.

Typeworks #75 - Intro Font

Neuton is a clean, dark, somewhat Dutch-inspired serif font which reminds you a little of Times. It has a large height, short extenders, and a compact width for better screen use, and economy of space.… and the best bit - It can be downloaded for free at: http://brianskywalker.deviantart.com/art/Neuton-Font-Family-277700018
Neuton is in continuing development and will come to have:* 5 weights, from Extralight to Extrabold* Italic and Smallcaps versions* A cursive variant* Extended width versions

Too often you will find that different areas of art and design are separated and never really blended into one large piece of work. You never really experience art that combines types of artwork together that use different senses. Art is usually concentrated on one sense at a time like, sight,…

Quick idea of a typeface inspired by Morphogenesis and the patterns that exist on animals, this one obviously represents a zebra’s pattern.

Battery typeface finished! My very first typeface. I’m actually really happy with this, and am interested in creating more typefaces for this project. I’ve got a good few more ideas ;)
With Tim’s advice, I’ve decided to call this typeface Plus and Minus :)

Kangaroo

Ever since finishing the first project of third year, I’ve been wanting to create a load of typefaces. A few days ago, an idea hit me that will help me build up a catalogue of ideas to base new typefaces on.

I will pick a random word, timeframe and letter/symbol and create a font based on the word. Currently I’m using a random word generator online and just randomly picking a time based on how long I have. However, I intend to build an online random generator for this project.

Anyways, I picked my first random word yesterday which was kangaroo and I had about 20 minutes. I chose to do the letter /K/. The outcome is no where near refined or final, but the aim was to get a quick idea down. I quickly sketched a kangaroo which already looked like a /K/.

I picked out some characteristics from the drawing. The tail had a curve and came below the legs, the arm was short and the head pointed up. Therefore, the stem for the letter goes below the baseline to represent the tail. The /K/ arm is short and thinner than the stem to represent the small arms of the kangaroo. I then cut the ascender at an angle as if it was looking up.

I’m now going to put these sheets away and not return to them for a while. I intend to have another go at this tomorrow with another word and a different timeframe.
